La Librairie de Verdun is a very energetic company that needs a reliable and friendly figure for its institutional clientele; a dynamic person, very meticulous, willing to do office work

Reporting to the Manager of the Community Services Department, the employee is responsible for all tasks related to orders received from community customers. He/she performs data entry, processes online orders, researches references and their availability from various suppliers, ensures that data is accurate and complete, performs billing, packaging and shipping. He/she must be dedicated to ensuring that the customer has a positive experience with the bookstore. In addition, the employee must be expected to perform any related duties based on the operational needs of the store.

Core skills:

  • Excellent productivity in data entry
  • Excellent oral and written French language skills
  • Excellent ability to concentrate on repetitive tasks in a busy work environment (warehouse)
  • Attention to detail and quality of work
  • Good ability to work under pressure, have a good sense of priorities
  • Good ability to carry heavy loads (boxes of books)
  • Good ability to work in a team

Assets:

  • Knowledge of the publishing scene and the book market (new releases)
  • Good knowledge of Excel software
  • Computer proficiency (researching, fast keystrokes, etc.)
  • Functional written and spoken English

Experience: minimum 1 year in customer service

Full time (Monday to Friday, 32 to 40 hours depending on the time of year)

Vacations: 2 weeks paid, 2 weeks without pay (community closure 4 weeks (holidays and construction weeks)

Availability: Anytime
