Every summer, the MEM – Centre des mémoires montréalaises citizen- bikes go out into the neighborhoods to meet the public. The MEM team will be on Promenade Wellington on Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6, 2025, with two activities to help you discover Verdun and other Montreal neighborhoods.
Montréal en boîte
Discover typical Montreal objects from the MEM collection and discuss history with representatives and other Montrealers.
In my neighborhood
Take part in a fun activity that invites you to explore your neighborhood, its territory and its history, while reflecting on what your ideal neighborhood would look like. You’ll be able to discover or rediscover your surroundings through the presentation of old and recent maps, as well as photographic archives of Verdun dating back to the city’s foundation. The curious can delve into local history, the creative can have fun making their own map with pencils and Lego, and the dreamers can imagine the neighborhood of their dreams.
