This year, Cabane Panache, in collaboration with Quai 5160 – Maison de la culture de Verdun, has put together a festive musical program that is 100% free and 100% local!
From the folk music that shapes our Quebec identity to the rock that gets the cabane rocking, a host of talented local musicians will be performing on the Main Stage, the Forest Stage, and the Ici Pneu Touchette Stage to warm your body and soul during the four days of the festival. 🎶🎻
Put on your plaid shirt and come spend your sugar rush by clapping your mittens and shaking your hips! 🧤🎉

Marie-Jeanne Brousseau (accordion), Courtney Drew (violin), and Alanna Jenish (guitar) form “Triptik.”
With a diversity of influences from Quebec, Irish, and Canadian folk music, their music speaks for itself through its originality. These three young professionals each bring a unique musical background, and the combined effect is fresh and captivating in its energy and depth.
Hailing from the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Marie-Jeanne Brousseau and Courtney Drew are long-time musical collaborators. Alanna Jenish, from Peterborough, ON, brings her own rhythmic style of guitar accompaniment.

Joe Robicho is a singer-songwriter from Sainte-Louise, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.
He has been performing his powerful “crassique folk” music as a one-man band throughout Quebec since 2015. With six albums under his belt, Joe sets the stage on fire wherever he goes, without any gimmicks!
Come see him set the stage on fire (figuratively speaking!) on the Forest Stage Thursday night!

Josh “Socalled” Dolgin is a Montreal pianist, accordionist, producer, composer, arranger, rapper and singer. With six solo albums to his name, he has performed all over the world for over a decade, and his list of collaborators knows no generational, social, cultural or religious boundaries. In fact, Socalled does so much business that he was the subject of the documentary “The Socalled Movie”, directed by Garry Beitel for the National Film Board of Canada in 2010.
The multi-hatted artist has a very special performance in store to kick off the 14th edition of Cabane Panache!

Bon Enfant is a quintet as plural as its members and horizons, for whom rock is as much a
passion as a way of life. Formed at the end of the previous decade by Daphné Brissette and
Guillaume Chiasson, the band - quickly joined by Etienne Côté, Melissa Fortin and Alex
Burger - is releasing a homonymous debut album in 2019. From the outset, the band's
groovy pop sound borrowed from folk-rock and psych, and two years later, Diorama was
even more expansive, incorporating aspects of disco, hard rock and glam rock - a convincing
combination that earned them the Félix for Rock Album of the Year at the ADISQ 2022 gala.
Touring Quebec, Europe and the U.K., the band continues to develop a permeable,
open-minded rock sound, embracing new musical niches for the future: Demande spéciale
has been released this fall on Duprince Records.

The Hot Biscuit Stringband is an old-time, country, and bluegrass band based in Montreal. Born out of a love—and slight obsession—with old fiddle tunes, the project takes shape around a deep attachment to Appalachian folklore and the musical traditions of the 1930s to 1960s.
Led by Ryan McNally on violin, Cédric Thuya Boivin on banjo, Lina Halimi on guitar, and Isaac Seglins on double bass, their repertoire blends lively fiddle tunes, old country tunes, and rich bluegrass harmonies. Last December, the Hot Biscuits released their second album, Hot Bizz, while recording their new release scheduled for spring.
Forest Stage
In the form of an amplified outdoor show, this traditional music session is an open invitation to folk artists.
Come play, sing, and dance to celebrate our Quebec roots in all their diversity and authenticity.
For years, these three artists have been touring Quebec's kitchens, pubs, and folk festivals in search of a repertoire that inspires them.
They bring flamboyant energy and music rooted in tradition, from yesterday to today.

Easy Tiger is a DIY project by Gabrielle La Rue and Sarah Dion. A tech entrepreneur by day and rock ‘n’ roller by night, Gabrielle rocks out on guitar and sings songs inspired by her eclectic life. Sarah, a full-time musician in bands such as Les Shirley, plays drums and bass with passion. Armed with YouTube tutorials and a good dose of patience, they taught themselves how to engineer, record, and produce all their music.
In the spring of 2024, Easy Tiger returns with a second EP entitled “Baby, Tag Along.” An eclectic EP that remains true to their DIY approach, without limiting themselves to one genre. From extreme partying to sobriety, Baby, Tag Along is a six-song therapy session for the fearless and the broken.
In 2025, their authenticity and raw energy were rewarded when they won the Cabaret Festif jury prize!
Easy Tiger is the official soundtrack to a tiki bar packed with cowboys drinking margaritas. And we're here to dance. Will you join us?

Fred Fortin is part of this well-established guard: a sure bet for sharp guitars and raw sound.
Whether he's talking about birds of ill omen, love, or the breathless routine, his grainy poetry unfolds like real movies in our heads.
Accompanied by his longtime collaborator Olivier Langevin and accomplished drummer Robbie Kuster, the evening promises to be rough but touching, an experience that is both raw and delicately human.

With Métal canadien-français, MONONC’ SERGE ET ANONYMUS are back!
The music is violent, the lyrics are sharp, and your ears are on the border between hell and deep Quebec: there's no doubt about it, the vociferous uncle and the metal veterans are teaming up again.
After a long 16-year hiatus from recording, their album Métal canadien-français proves that these old noise veterans still have what it takes. They are ready to take the stages of the French-speaking world by storm, playing their decadent music, all in French and in defiance of all political correctness.

Lina & Ryan sing American country music classics, the kind you hear in honky-tonks and two-step dances. After discovering this dance during trips to the southern United States, they returned with a desire to share the country music of the dance floor, the kind that invites movement and the joy of dancing together.
For the occasion, the duo will be accompanied by their friend Flora Knight on violin. The three of them are behind the monthly Montréal Honky Tonk evenings, which offer an introduction to partner dancing at the beginning of the evening, followed by live music with a full country band to keep the room dancing until the end of the night. This festive and unifying spirit is naturally reflected on stage.

Crowned Female Performer of the Year at the last Country Gala, Brittany Kennell has established herself as one of the most striking voices on the current country scene. With a wealth of stage and songwriting experience under her belt, she offers a show that reflects her music: authentic and vibrant.

What exactly is Cabane Panache?
Cabane Panache is an outdoor festival themed around maple syrup season. It’s not a traditional sugar shack with table service: food is served street food style at kiosks.
On the menu: free music shows, entertainment, games, and a festive outdoor atmosphere!
Is Cabane Panache free?
Admission to the event and all its programming is entirely free! Only the food, beverage merch, and maple taffy booths charge a fee. Please note that some booths will only accept cash as payment.
Is it possible to book in advance?
As Cabane Panache is an outdoor festival on Wellington Street, it is not possible to take reservations for groups. We advise you to arrive early to get a front-row view of the Main Stage, for example, and make the most of everything!
Are dogs allowed on site?
Buddy is welcome to come and enjoy the festivities, as long as he is kept on a leash! However, please note that we are expecting a large number of people on site. If your dog is not comfortable in large crowds, with lots of stimuli or loud noises (live music), it may be best to leave him at home.
Also note that with spring weather, possible thawing, and lots of boots, Camp Cabane Panache can quickly become muddy, and it may be messy for your four-legged friends!
Is Cabane Panache a family event?
Absolutely! We encourage the whole family to come out and enjoy the Cabane Panache experience. Most activities and entertainment are kid-friendly, and decadent hot chocolate will be available at Chez Robin Marché Local booth.
Can I bring my own alcohol to the event?
It is not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages from outside the event. There will be a great selection of drinks available from local bars in the Espace Bouésson, as well as the BENELUX beer shack and the Coureur des Bois chalets.
Please note that smoking is prohibited on the event.
Is the event accessible for people with reduced mobility?
At Cabane Panache, we strive to welcome everyone! Several access ramps will be deployed at strategic locations, and the site is wheelchair accessible.
The Cercle des fermières in the Notre-Dame-des-Sept Douleurs Church is also universally accessible thanks to a stair lift. To access it, go through the entrance at 284 Rue de l’Église.
How to get to the event?
As the Cabane Panache festival takes place on Promenade Wellington, the site is accessible in many ways, but to both keep fit and reduce your ecological footprint, we recommend active or public transport:
🟢 BY METRO – De l’Église station, green line
🚌 BY BUS – Lines 12, 37, 38, 71 and 61
🚲 BY BIKE – Bike path along the waterfront and De Verdun street. Bicycle parking available on site
🚗 BY CARSHARING – Plenty of curbs-side parking nearby, including the Ethel multi-level parking garage, and the parking lot near Wellington between 3rd and 4th avenues.
Are there restrooms on site?
Yes! There are two locations with outhouses where you can relieve yourself:
A restroom for people with reduced mobility will be installed at each of the two locations.
Is it possible to distribute advertising flyers at the event?
It is prohibited to advertise at the event, whether in the form of distributing flyers, samples, or by having a mascot present, without written authorization from the SDCW.
I have a drone. Can I bring it and operate it during the event?
No. No drones are allowed to fly over the event site without prior written permission from the organization.
Any unauthorized device may result in intervention and penalties.
Are shows postponed in case of rain, snow or bad weather?
As far as possible, all shows and events are maintained, depending on the intensity of the weather and the type of show. The show must go on! However, if a show has to be postponed or rescheduled, you’ll be notified via our social networks, Facebook event and through the Fest APP.
What’s the best way to dress for Cabane Panache?
Cabane Panache is a 100% outdoor event and takes place at the beginning of spring in Quebec, so while the weather can be great, it’s always a little chilly! Dress in layers, and hats and mittens are a must. There will be fireplaces and campfires at various points on the site to keep you warm, but double up on your socks and put on your warm woollies!
As for style, this is the time to get out your lumberjack clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, and warm, waterproof “chouclaques”. White shoes aren’t recommended, but your best plaid shirts sure are! 😉
We also have merch on sale at the info booth, so you can have all the swag of a Cabane Panache lumberjack!
