Job Description:
Design, lead, and supervise educational activities for youth aged 12 to 17. The facilitator will support participants in carrying out small-scale entrepreneurial projects in a safe, inclusive, and culturally sensitive environment that fosters creativity, leadership, and self-confidence.
- Contract Type: Seasonal, fixed-term – 8 weeks
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday (occasional availability in the evenings and on weekends)
- Pay: $18/hour
Main responsibilities:
- Facilitate workshops on entrepreneurial awareness (ideation, creativity, project development)
- Plan weekly programming and adapt teaching materials
- Supervise a group of 10 to 15 youth in a safe and supportive environment
- Collaborate with the team and participate in weekly follow-ups
- Document activities and contribute to the end-of-camp Grand Market
Desired Profile:
- Education: Currently enrolled in a program in education, recreation, social work, youth leadership, or a related field
- Experience: Youth leadership (ages 12–17), intercultural experience (a plus)
- Skills: Excellent communication and group facilitation skills, creativity, and energy
- Qualities: Patience, active listening, empathy, organizational skills, intercultural sensitivity
- Languages: Fluency in French; English or an African language (an asset)
Eligibility requirements:
The candidate must
- Be between 15 and 30 years old
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a recognized refugee
