OK LÀ! returns for its 6th outdoor edition on Friday August 18 and Saturday August 19, 2023. These two evenings dedicated to the promotion of experimental music and performative cinema will once again take place on the rooftop of the Éthel parking lot in Verdun. The shows are free and open to all. Once again this year, you’ll be offered a program rich in discoveries.

PROGRAMMATION

Friday

• Animated performance by sound artist Anne-F Jacques and illustrator Julie Doucet.
• Orquesta Experimental de Instrumentos Nativos with experimental contemporary pieces performed with traditional Bolivian instruments.
• Bill Nace (Body/Head) plays the Japanese instrument taishōgoto.
• DJ Myriam Gendron will provide the musical ambience throughout the evening.

 

Saturday

• Performance combining music and cinema (slides, 16mm projections and video) by Bradley Eros, Richard Sylvarnes and Lea Bertucci.
• Performance by Egyptian musician Nadah El Shazly, fusing voice, musical instruments and field recording.
• Aaron Dilloway, former member of the group Wolf Eyes, will handle loops of eight-track cassettes.
• Visual artist and ex-member of Georges Leningrad Dominique Pétrin will DJ this second evening.

The event will take place rain or shine, and bar service will be available on site.
