Mariachi Wednesdays
July 8 to August 5, 2026

This summer on Promenade Wellington, let yourself be swept away by the festive rhythms of Mariachi Figueroa!

On five occasions between July 8 and August 5, a mariachi trio will stroll along the Wellington Promenade to liven up the atmosphere and get the street moving to the sound of traditional Mexican music.

Whether you’re sitting on a patio, shopping, or just passing by, keep your ears open—you might just stumble upon a performance that’s as festive as it is spontaneous!

ABOUT

It all started with a MARIACHI: Don José Figueroa

Figueroa has lived in Montreal since 1967 and founded the group MARIACHI FIGUEROA. In 1973, two of his sons and his son-in-law joined him to support him in his role as an ambassador for Mexican music. In 1984, two more of Don José’s sons arrived in Montreal. In 1995, two of Don José’s grandsons joined the group: a true dynasty was born, with three generations of the Figueroa family playing together!

Mariachi Figueroa performs at a host of major events in Quebec and Ontario, whether they are tourist, cultural, or social in nature. The group also takes part in Mexican patriotic and national holidays celebrated by the local Mexican community.
