Forró is a cultural expression that originated in the northeast region of Brazil, but is also very important throughout the rest of the country. Its traditional rhythms include “baião”, “arrasta pé” and “xote”, making people dance and sing along.

Born in Recife and deeply immersed in this musical universe, multi-instrumentalist Lara Klaus (zabumba and vocals) has formed the group “Forró de Lá” with musicians Rodrigo Simões (guitar and vocals), Gabriel Schwartz (flute, percussion and vocals) and Dominique Poirier (accordion), who promise to bring a bit of Brazil to Montreal and entertain the audience.
