Évenement
“Escales créatives” (Creatives stations) marks an inspiring first for Verdun: it is the very first event conceived and co-created by the Verdun Cultural District Committee and Quai 5160 – Verdun Cultural Center. Born out of a community-driven desire to promote culture throughout the area, the Verdun Cultural District Committee brings together committed individuals who develop innovative and unifying projects to invigorate local cultural life.
This festive day will take place on pedestrian-only Wellington Street, a place of discovery and artistic expression. In this friendly and lively atmosphere, the public is invited to celebrate creativity while exploring a theme deeply rooted in Verdun’s identity: the river.
From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., let yourself be carried away by the current of inspiration through a host of participatory cultural activities offered continuously.
Explore different ways to interpret the river through fabric screen printing with Fannie Bertrand, a poetry writing workshop with Emilie Ndujuru, mixed media and paper collage with Nathalie Lussier, or even making macarons alongside members of the Verdun Cultural District Committee.
