Luc Saucier will be giving a demonstration of the art of calligraphy in the public square on the pedestrianized Wellington Street. Join us on July 26 for this event open to the general public, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This seasoned calligrapher will offer the public a most precious gift: a small bookmark on which the recipient’s name will be calligraphied—with slow, precise strokes—using the most elegant script created with antique quills. Accompanied by various works from his practice, this demonstration will allow visitors to learn more about this craft, which was once practiced by monk scribes.
