MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Outreach and Growth

  • Contribute to the growth plan alongside the director and the operations manager;
  • Build partnerships within the neighborhood;
  • Participate in neighborhood events;
  • Attend annual neighborhood meetings;
  • Coordinate and/or organize events and workshops at the LOCO Verdun venue;
  • Coordinate venue rentals and related business relations;
  • Social media: Maintain an active presence on Facebook and relevant groups, manage the LOCO Verdun Instagram page, and post stories on the main LOCO account;
  • Develop the LOCO Verdun community;

 

Team Management

  • Plan staffing needs; coach, train, and develop the team;
  • Create and foster a positive work environment and high-performing employees;

 

Operations Management

  • In-store work: customer service, cash register, stocking, cleaning, etc.
  • Ensure proper management of store inventory;
  • Place orders and follow up with suppliers;
  • Ensure that priorities are met through excellent planning and set objectives.

 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Experience in retail or grocery, customer service, and the food industry. Marketing experience is a plus.

  • Interpersonal skills, energy, proactivity, and diplomacy, along with a sense of responsibility;
  • Self-reliance and strong organizational skills;
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment;
  • Interest in interacting with people and building relationships;
  • Strong skills in team building, communication, and employee training;
  • Results-oriented and able to solve problems;
  • Interest in zero waste, organic food, and the environment.
